Message from HOD

It gives me great pleasure to convey the continuous progress and development of the Department of Information Technology. I am happy to share that our department is endorsed by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi for the third time in the academic year 2022–2025 for three years.

In the globalized world, India needs to produce world-class engineers. In an attempt to accept this challenge, the department has initiated various practices for the overall development of students which include Capsule Courses, Mentorship Activities, Personality Development Activities, Skill Building, and regular Alumni Interaction with students.

The department is continuously striving towards industry requirements by focusing on strong and disciplined academics. In the Information Technology field, communication with the world matters a lot. Along with good academics, students must possess lifelong learning ability, ethics, strong verbal and analytical skills, communication skills, creativity, hardworking nature, and team-building qualities.

To focus on these areas, the department has associations with professional bodies like CSI, IEEE, ISTE, as well as the departmental association ITERA. It has become necessary for today’s professionals to keep pace with changing technology. The teaching faculty members are a mix of experienced teachers and young technocrats devoted to teaching. Our alumni occupy preferred leadership positions in industry. This, along with harmony in the teacher-student relationship, has resulted in an excellent placement ratio in the department.

With this goal in mind, we are progressing under Sanjivani College of Engineering, Kopargaon – an Autonomous Institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The department is actively bridging the gap between Industry and Institute by incorporating industry-standard curriculum. We look forward to continued progress in producing world-class IT Engineers who are responsible citizens.
